What's the measurement excluding the bracket...just the shroud? Mine is 6" and appears to be correct for a 409 based upon the pics you sent. The 283 shroud looks to be a 10 - 12" shroud. Can you confirm any of this? Thanks MIke

Did Chevrolet make a special fan shroud for the 409 motor? If so, how can you tell the difference between a 409 and some other v 8 shroud?

Does anyone have an original 1963 Impala 2 door (red) interior on this forum? If so, would you mind posting some pics on this thread? I'm trying to ID the original red seat and dash colors. Thanks, Mike

Paul, Are you saying the factory used 2 different red colors for the 63 dash?
