    Help

    Carter AFB Dual Quads

Hi again, It's been a while, but finally have my 62 Bubbletop 409, 409hp on the road more or less. Problem I have is that it is running too rich on the dual quad setup. I know a lot of you will say to throw the AFB's away and put on new, but I want to stay with them if possible. Had to screw...

    Petronix Coil on a 409

Thanks for the feed-back. No mention of an HEI dist., only to remove the resistor. I'll check the voltage on the downside of the resistor which will probably be too low so plan to bypass the resistor as suggested. Hope to get the 62 Bubbletop on the road this summer, barring any more unforseen...

I needed a coil for my 2X4 409 so bought a 40,000 volt Petronix Flame Thrower When I got it out of the box and read the installation instructions, it states that I should not use the ballast resistor. I'm a bit confused and wondered if anybody has any experiences running this coil with or...

I am changing a 62 Bubbletop from the stock 283 to a 409, 409hp. The origional car had power brakes but as yet I have not seem a 409 dual quad with this option. I would like to keep the car with power brakes, but I'm not sure if there will be enough vacuum to operate them. Also with the brake...

    409 Fan Shroud

Since I couldn't find a reasponably priced 409 fan shroud, I am cutting a small block shroud to fit. I've been told that the fan should not be completely inside the shroud, but it should be about 1/2 inch outside on engine side. Can anyone confirm,or let me know the overall width to cut it to...

    62 Bubbletop Interior

Found out from Phil Reed the order of colors for the doors, but still not sure of the order for rear quarter panels. Doors starting from front of car are: beige, salmon, and dark red, but is this order reversed for the rear? Seats are beige, salmon and red from outside of car inwards. Thanks...

Can anyone help me sort our the 3 color inserts (total of 12) that have to be attached to the new door and rear quarter panels that I have? They are dark red, pinkish red (salmon) and greyish beige, and have to be attached to a small metal strip which is then attached to the panels. I know they...
