Got the floor out of the bed of my '59 El Camino today.
Not a lot of good news there, the "Smugglers Box" and a lot of other sheet-metal appears to have been removed by a prior owner.
Then I noticed the "repaired" frame crack. :eek:
My old '59 was repaired right at the junction of the "X", this one is repaired just ahead of the rear frame kick-up.
Yes, I'm going to be modifying this frame, and putting in a Jag IRS.
I do not see how the X frame 409 cars survive.
