3146208 is RPO 257, heavy duty radiator for a 61 V8 car with RPO 313, powerglide.

Are Harrison radiator part# 3146208 for 283 and 348 engines in 1961? Was this radiator just used with powerglides or turboglides also?? It says its a RPO 257 for heavyduty with powerglide. My car is a 348-280hp turboglide with air cond but has the 3146208 radiator is this correct????

Don't know for sure , but I would think it would be the same for PG or TG. I think the only difference may be the cooling line fittings. The 3146208 does not appear in the parts catalogue and it doesn't appear in the parts history as being replaced either. There is a 3146206 in the parts book, but it isn't HD and not for PG or TG.
The part number for 60-61 348 with AC and A.T. (does not differentiate between PG and TG), or HD 348 with A.T. without AC, is 3848518.
Makes me think the 3146208 was used in production only and not for service. Probably the same as 3146208 with some minor difference is assembly parts.
My guess is you have the correct original radiator for your application.:dunno
