Offenhauser & 409

Hi: I purchased a car with a '62 409; the engine has Offenhauser finned valve covers and a matching finned air cleaner. My question is this.....were these just dress up items or is it possible that the heads are also Offenhauser?

Another valve cover question...I have Wynn (sorry I don't know the correct spelling) valve covers on my 409. I bought the engine from a early 409 drag racer who had these covers for several years. They have heavy ribs, vent stacks and a large muli point star. Anyone know anything about them?

Weiand maybe? I've seen them on eBay. Does anybody know who manufactures aluminum "W" valve covers currently besides Moon and Offy if any???
