trunk color

Hello from Switzerland,

I would like to paint new the trunk of my '64 SS. Does anybody know the
recipe for the mixture of the original color?

Hopwfully nobody will mind my suggesting this, but maybe try www.chevytalk.com. They have a section for your car. 61-64 I believe. Some of the guys one that sight actually were working in the factory when your car was built, so they should be able to help you.

My other suggestion would be to check around the weather strip, or under any carpet, or trunk mat that is in there. Alot of times, the original color is undisturbed in those areas.

It is a gray and white splatter paint. Maybe you can get Eastwood to ship it to you. A 64 trunk will take three cans + one can of clear to seal it.

Heres a link to the Service Bulletin I previously posted on the 61 trunk spatter paint . I would think that the 64 would be the same.
