'61 SS 409?

Anyone ever see one in a 2-Dr Sedan?

Also wondering if it is true that there were only 32 '61 SS 409's built.

I know there were 453 SS's and only 142 409's but never heard the number for '61 SS 409's.

If you look close, that car is an Impala.

In '61 you could get an Impala in both 4-Dr Sedan and 2-Dr Sedan.

Actually in the Brochure, you could get the SS Option on any '61 Impala but the Wagon (Nomad).

Whether any were made or if any exist is a good question.

There was 453 1961 SS Impala hardtop/convertibles built, my older brother had one of the convertibles he wanted a 63 split window vette and our Dad said no your getting the 61 that was on the car same lot.

Right on ........also no 61 ever had '409' on the fender from the factory.......
