'61 SS 409?

Anyone ever see one in a 2-Dr Sedan?

Also wondering if it is true that there were only 32 '61 SS 409's built.

I know there were 453 SS's and only 142 409's but never heard the number for '61 SS 409's.

Actually in the Brochure, you could get the SS Option on any '61 Impala but the Wagon (Nomad).

Whether any were made or if any exist is a good question.

Okay , So lets agree that this option was available on all of the 1961 models other than the station wagons. Where are they and how many were there. Pictures. ???

There is no proof to this myth.
There was 453 1961 SS Impala hardtop/convertibles built, my older brother had one of the convertibles he wanted a 63 split window vette and our Dad said no your getting the 61 that was on the car same lot.
