    Sharp Rockers here

It has been a long time since I started this 348 engine project. We ran into major problems with the Ross pistons hitting the valves big time. We tried milling the piston tops but ran out of aluminum. So a new set of Diamond pistons. With the help from Dan Topliff Engines in Manhatten ,KS it is...

    Sharp Rockers here

Thanks for posting the pictures of the Harland Sharp shaft rockers. Mike Becker worked with me to build a set of shaft rockers for a 348 drag motor that got way out of hand but has been fun. The engine is 369 ci with 409 heads, ross pistons from SHOW Cars, 3.250 stroke, 6.385 rods and a Howards...

I am putting the dash back in the 62 only to find out I didn't make a note or take a picture of the heater controle knobs before it was taken apart. I searched here and on the net and couldn't finde a picture I could tell which knob goes where. I know the first one on the left is the FAN...

    Firewall Padding.

Thanks Dan and Phil, I called the manufacture of the firewall pad and was told that I had a 59-60 firewall pad. I contacted the supplier and thay are sending a two piece one. No wonder it didn't fit. Phil if it isn't better I will be calling you . Thanks again, Hooley

    Firewall Padding.

Has anyone used the after market fire wall padding with success? I ordered one for the 62 Bel-Air that I am building and it is a flat piece that will in no way fit around the hump in the firewall that protrudes to the inside. The hump is for the windshield wiper motor. Is there something...

    409 Main Caps

Mr HP, I have been reading about the upper bars in the archives. From what I see to raise the rear of the bar 2" leaves the bracket a little flimsey. I was wondering about lowering the front 1" and raising the rear 1" for about the same angle in the bar. It may accomplish the same thing with...

    409 Main Caps

The pic seemed to work so I have a couple more. I have the lower arms boxed now and waiting on the adj upper arms that are back ordered. I have trimed the brackets from a 9" ford rear end . The next step is remove the brackets from the Chevy rear end. I am thinking about centering the rear end...

    Another 348

Since last time, I have finished the 348 rebuild. I have yet to run it on the run in stand. That should happen soon. It seems once people get word your messing with these motors they start coming out of the wood work. I came up with enough parts to put another motor together and have parts...
