    Valve cover question???

Can anyone spell "Orfice" 1961 they did not know what a PCV was. They had an "Orfice". And they had a "Vent". Later when GMC came out with 350 cid small blocks the had a PCV valve ( a check valve) which took the place of the "Orfice", and the vent moved to the air filter. What our "W" friends...

Today Is Memorial Day. Remember Who It's For.

I know it is past Memorial Day. But could not resist. WHAT IS A VET? Some veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a jagged scar, a certain look in the eye. Others may carry the evidence inside them: a pin holding a bone together, a piece of shrapnel in the leg - or...

T-400 X-frame swap. Here are a couple of pics from my recent mock up on my 64. Notice the fuel line on the right frame rail (under wrenchs). That is where Year One bent the stainless lines for the powerglide trans mount. I moved them back and fliped the OE cross member and cut to fit. Seemed...

    Gas Prices #3

Pessimistic? History Repeats; The fall of Rome; The Goths flooding across her Northern Borders. My suggestion, invest in precious metals. Gold, Silver, Guns, x-frame chevy. In the mean time have fun. When poo-poo hits the fan, lock and load. I give it 5-years and the U.S.A. will be no...

Crossover Thanks Fatride, but don't think that will work with my setup. I am having full length headers made. Collector flanges will go outside the frame left and right. Remember seeing someones pics of a crossover around the middle of the "X". Would like the noise control and performance...

Glad you don't glow in the dark. Glad to hear you stuck with your trade rwagon57. I work with a guy who was a Nuc MM on the Pintado. He is now a Land Surveyor. Question: The Truxton, was that an L.A. class fast attack? Never heard of it. Probably after my time.

    Per dq's request

Hello rwagon57, I was PACFleet also. Spent 2.5 yrs. in Squadron 1 out of Pearl, then 2 yrs. in Group 7 out of San Diego. I was an Engineman, M- Division like you. Only we didn't play with zoomies. I was last of a phased out rating on subs. Question, you don't still glow in the dark do you?
