Thanks for your help. The suffix code on the block is QB so it is a 409 hp engine. It does not appear to be a miss stamp. The OJ are the same size and appear right before the VIN
number. It looks like factory stamping. The O or the J are not stamped on top of each other. Maybe someone...
I have a 1962 409 engine. The VIN numbers are stamped on the block. But in front of the VIN numbers is stamped OJ. I know the J stands for Janesville but what does the O stand for. Thanks for any help.
Sorry, I should have been more specific. The crack is about 6 inches long 1 inch below the deck surface running front to back. My guess is its
