This is the original motor for my 64 belair, I was told.. the vin has the 5 and the 9 reversed in the order, all dates line up and with production date.. Any thoughts?

Yea we caught that after the body was on the frame John, This is my first frame off on a impala or 409 to be exact, lots of learning. The headers are Sanderson for back in 1980 so not even sure if they make them any more but I found the nos out in Carlisle.

While I was replacing the carpet in my 64 BelAir I ford a few stamps on being the build date of april 7 1964 another being 409 stamped on the heater box under the dash. I have had a few of these cars over the years and never seen this stamp. Anyone else seen one of these?
