We all know the 340 hp. 409 came with a BIG Rochester 4GC. Does anyone know about any that had the large fuel inlet that contained the "rock" filter ? All that I have seen had the "small" inlet that only had a screen, but I came across one with the "big" inlet , and I don't know if someone...

What type compressor was used in 61? And- are brackets available to mount the A-6 compressor on a W engine in a 61? Did 62 & later have the A-6 compressor, or when did it start ? I assume it mounted on the passenger side? thanks

By the way--I have a cherry set of original carbs and intake like yours for sale. Also 340 hp. BIG Rochester 4GC and manifold. Thanks. Also : If you don't have an 8" converter, you need one BAD.

The cam: I think you need about a 268-278 ( @ .050 ) ground with 112* lobe separation and degreed in at 108 ( 4* advanced)

Later- next day: I do have the blue pump cups now ( for your 409 carb). The blue ones tolerate the alcohol in gasoline . If you just need that pump rubber cup, they are $8

7020023 does not have the " hot idle compensator" between the rear venturi. As for the accelerator pump: I am working with my supplier to get the correct size blue cups. Right now I have new black pumps (or cups). I do have NOS leather pumps (the best) for $ 65 plus shipping. Are you looking...

That's just more available horsepower for a longer period of time.

I think it's good that it has a "flat" HP. peak. Wish mine looked like that. However; the "problem" is more like 150 HP.
