I hear a lot of people saying free revving on decell is bad... but what happens when you take off from a red light, wind it up to 6500 in 1st gear, then throw the clutch in to shift.... Doesn't it free rev decell until you hit second and get back on the gas again? My 283 sees a lot of free...

Here's my 283 It's in my '55 Willys CJ5 My circle track engine builder put it together for me... Man does it run nice. It's a great combination of power and reliability. It commutes 80+ miles a day and can blow a lot of stuff off the road :)

The 1.6 rockers came with their own pivot balls and new nuts. They're stamped steel just like the 1.5's.

Hrmmm...Sounds like we found a new one. Mine likely came out of a 348...or at least I think it did :? I'm sure someone knows what it's for. Maybe Bob could put this number on the list also

1110943 Delco Remy 9 J 10. I checked the page we have here, but that number isn't on there. The closest was 1110948, but mine definately ends in a 3. This is EXACTLY what it looks like. That's the picture from the distributor page here. Anyone know what mine could be?

Are you sure you can't go .060 over on it? We do it all the time on race engines... Maybe your block is a little different
