I read somewhere on this site lastnight that the timing mark is in line with the key way. Don't remember where. :scratch This balancers timing mark is. Luck looks to be on my side! :clap Thanks for your help! :beerbang :D

    Yet another balancer issue!

Thanks for the help guys. At least I have a good idea what it's for now. I did find one more balancer that could be for a 348. Looks just like the one in the third pic that you posted Tripower. The one on the right. Haven't been able to find any numbers yet. Where should I be looking for them...

    Yet another balancer issue!

I have, what appears to be a 348 balancer. Not for sure. Measures 6" across like a 348 balancer. Part number could be one of two ways. 3883285 or 3883528. :scratch The front has 7706 and beneath that is C 9 F. Any clue what this is for?

    3x2 Linkage Set Up...

Power jet holes? :dunno Sorry if it seems like a dumb question. Nothing in my manual uses that term. Maybe I just need a new Manual. LOL Do you mean the passage that connects the Power Valve to the main jets? Should ditch the power piston as well, i guess??? :scratch

    3x2 Linkage Set Up...

I was looking for something a little more showy than what show cars has. I recently found a place, EELCO. Anyone familiar with them? This will be my first Multi Carb build and I have a question for the tri-power guys. I know that the the end carbs are not suppose to have an idleing curcuit...

    3x2 Linkage Set Up...

I have a set 2g's coming my way pretty soon. Not the originals unfortunatly...:cry I'm just curious on how you could route the linkage. Mainly focussing on custom progressive linkage as I may try to come up with something myself. Most of the pics I've seen are pretty vague at best. Not the...

    Low perf. heads

Wasn't trying to imply that you had to use 690 heads. Sorry if I made it seem that way. I have taken what everyone has said into consideration and think I have a pretty good game plan as to what I'm going to do now. Tell me what you think. :) Tri-Power Manifold, ported and polished 333...

    Low perf. heads

Point very well taken Drag racing never came to mind with my 348. Just a good cruiser that COULD stomp the he!! out of any 4 banger. A lot of people in my age group(24) seem to think those pieces of crap a cool these days. I can't stand them!:takethat If I wanted to drag, I would go do what...

    Low perf. heads

Hey guys. Check this out! I was flipping through my Show Cars catalog last night thinking "Yeah, i need that, and that, blah blah blah..." Then I came to their little book of numbers section. Well, in the 409 head part, they show the flow for that casting! :doh Here they are: 817 - stock =...

    Low perf. heads

So, in theory, you could do the same to 379s because they share the same valves? :scratch I was always told that you couldn't port 348-409 heads. I guess my sorces were wrong! :takethat

    Low perf. heads

Search didn't reveal a thing. Just casting numbers and valve sizes. :bang Are port volume numbers for 348-409 heads really that obscure?

    Low perf. heads

Maybe a search is in need. I'll let you know if I find anything. :D

    Low perf. heads

333 heads The 817's I can understand, but 333 heads? Same valves as the 379's. Is there something special about them that I'm missing?
