hi, just picked up a 61 348.250 horse 4bbl with a stick from a car. looking to make it into a 305 hp 315 hp (trip carb) engine. would like the experts to tell me what part numbers to use for this build,ie, cam size,piston size(comp). also it will be running the stock 8379 heads,so what do i need...

hello tim from ns, i too have a double notch 348 with the 555 heads.I am now confused after reading these posts,i was going to use 333 heads with my block with some 10/1 pistons running a trip set up looking to gain about 300 horse out of it, i see a post that the 333 's had bigger valves thus...

thanks buildit for the input,but here on the east coast (pa) 348's and 409's are not easy to find..If you do find one they are kinda expensive.. so if you have any or know of a guy with some,bring them to carlisle ... you can make a bundle.tim
