The engine has been replaced with a 1963, those numbers are correct. Its not a numbers matching I know, bell housing, linkage are correct. It was a 1/4 mile car for years, I know that. I need t0 find a build sheet to prove its pedigreed. Any idea if and where they put build sheets on a 64 car?

Help locating 409/425 Flywheel part number and source

Bryan, PM me what you need for it and I will try and get a shipping cost. I can have it turned here, looks like it was an 11 in clutch, mine was turned, but still had heat cracks, so if I have to go back into it I want only to do it once

Help locating 409/425 Flywheel part number and source

Mike, Just as long as it is the proper set up for my car. Bryan has a flywheel which was off a 65, using a 11 inch clutch which he feels would work fine.

Bryan, Once I get this sorted out I will know what I need. I'm not racing just a driver, but having a problem with shuttering and hard to push in when it gets hot. The one you have is a 168 tooth right? Please send a pic when you can.

Help locating 409/425 Flywheel part number and source

So I am alittle confused, I had read in the Tech material that the flywheels for the 348 & 409 were the same. I know the clutch in my car is an 11 inch, but the original was a 10 1/2. So what am I looking for exactly?

MRHP, I would think that they would be the same, sound interesting, is it something you would part with? What condition is it, does it have heat cracks, and has it been resurfaced ?

Skip, I came across your post of 2005 in a search and I was wondering if you had a part number for a flywheel for the 64 Impala SS 409/425. I am need of a new one and trying to find the number and maybe even a source. Thanks WES
