Gary C.......my name is Phil Reed and I know Norman very well!!!!!!!!!!! In fact he and wife stopped at my shop!!!!!!
I shipped a lot of parts to Norman for his 62. In fact....Norman sent me a book of his racing history!!! I still have it.
If you ever see Norman......please tell him that I still have his book!!!!!!!

Thanks Phil, that's awesome that you sent gear over for Norm, I don't see him as he is on the other side of the country.
I do chat with the guy that bought all of Norms bits and pieces including the 62.

Thanks Jeff, just not sure that this style seals the return hole in the side of the recess?
The hole in the od/side of the filter recess is oil coming from the pump. The hole on the side of the hole where the canister filter bolt screws into is the hole feeding the engine. Check out this one. I think it may do the trick.

Thanks Jeff, I do have one of these as per photos. It has GM part number.
It doesn't seem to be able to seal on the sides, almost as if something is missing.
I checked them out and seems it was for early 427?

That looks like its made for a filter with a cooler bypass, But also for a later chevy engine that comes with a spin on filter.
