10,000# 2-post lift

My son is moving into a new home & building a new garage.
Has all the plans OK’s by the city for the garage.

The question is he old garage had a 10,000# 2 post Atlas lift.
He wants to stay with the 2-post lift.

What Brand 10,000# lift is best for the X-Frame vehicles, he is working on his 62 Impala wagon Before he moved.

As long as it’s asymmetrical the arms should reach. I have a Challenger brand myself.

That is the problem with some hoists. Our local shop has one. The arms in front are fine, but the the rear arms wouldn't reach the frame behind the X.

Be sure he builds ceiling high enough. Trayed ceiling.

I went with this one Dave because I only have a 10' ceiling. I'm 6' 5" and do not have many problems due to not being able to put the lift clear to the top. If I run into something that causes me to bend over for a long time I set on a chair. This is only a 9,000# lift. The front arm max reach is 51 1/2" and the rear is 54 1/2" On my lift the front arm length is more of a problem than the rears. You must have the car positioned just right to make this work, not much room for error. I don't see any concern, but it would be nice to have arms a bit longer. I bought mine direct from Bend Pac...free shipping.
