I'm guessing an upper or lower window stop. Any evidence of having been rubber coated?

Well now you know what the rattle was

Ray: That looks like a window stop that rivets to the bottom of the rear channel on a 58 hardtop?.
I'm not positive about that. "gettin old and forgetful"

No sign of rubber, kinda what I thought as windows weren't adjusted.

Tried to feel for stops, can't find any on either door. Nothing touching adjuster screws.

Yes it is a window stop, bolts above where where glass bolts to regulator channel ,found one on the left door, so they actually had ONE installed.
No felts in the channels, more rattles.
