Thought this might be an interesting poll to see what the least favorite year full size Chevy is from 1955 thru 1970.

My order of least favorite-ness runs from 1970 down to 1963 in reverse order. After that it's a jumble, with '59 and '61 being most favorite.

Thats a tough one ! I`ll have to think a bit on this one,,,,

Maybe you should break it into 55-64 , closer to styling ,then 65-70,,,,,dq

Just trying to stir up a conversation. :D I'm surprised by some of the results already.

As for hideous Impala's, this vote doesn't include the newer front wheel drive models. :p :D

I can't believe that the 64 is second least favorite! At least it's still an xframe and you could get a 409/425 in it.

I agree that is odd to see 64 taking a beating but there is now one for 1962 and I never thought I'd see that. 1962 always wins when we do the "popular" year vote. (1963 second place)

This is interesting!!! Hmmmm....

I actually love them all but 1968 was my vote. I had a 4 door 68 Impala years ago and it wore front tires almost as fast as I put them on. It would wear the right side so I'd have it aligned, then it would wear the left. I had everything replaced and it did no good. I wasn't crazy about the way it rode either, not cushy like a big car should be. IMO, on best looking, the 68 is my least favorite so that also helped make my decision.

That IS strange, isn't it :? :? ... 1962 ?
I find the results on the 64 pretty surprising too... I mean REALLY, it's still better than any 65 & up :dunno

Boy, this could get something going  :p

The 62 is a strange one,,,,, Who voted that way anywho? We`ll be at their door in the morning :takethat

Bob is right the 68 is a dog face but CPG is wrong about the 65 !!

I`d take a 65 over the 64 anyday !!!

Lets face it, the 64 is an ugly duckling. And I owned 4 or 5 in my life time . This one is my pride and joy...

One of each!

I'll take delivery of one of each, then let you guys know my picks :)

I agree, certain votes are puzzling, but then we're a rather eclectic group, aren't we? To each his own.

As time goes on, I find myself getting more interested in certain years that I didn't particularly like when I was younger. The 1958 is a good example, as is the 1964. Now that I've seen those beautiful Z-11s in KC, that 1963 model is now in my "view". I generally fall for those that either I or my Dad had when I was in my teens, so that would be 1961s and 1962s.

It'll be interesting to see what others vote for!

I've never heard the '64 being described as an ugly duckling. This is blowing my mind. :? They've always been one of my favorites. It's so funny how different everybody's opinions are. Not that anyone cares, but here's the way I would break down the '58-'64's from favorite on down....
1)62
2)64
3)61
4)63
5)58
6)60
7)59
But don't get me wrong, I would be plum tickled to have any one of 'em.
And the '65-'70s.....
1)66
2)65
3)69
4)67
5)68
6)70
And I can't put the '55-'57s in order. They're just too hard to number like that.

You got that right Ed. What's worse is the newest Malibu. They've disgraced that name along with Impala.

I think GM has contracted some kindergarteners to do their designing. Must be paying them with milk and cookies? :D

I know it isn't on the list, but the ugliest Impala is the current one.
I don't like the current ones either, but I thought the ugliest Impala was the previous one, the full sized one from the mid 90's, the ones the highway patrol and taxi's used. It kinda looked like an upside down bathtub. And then they had the nerve to make a 4dr. SS. :doh IMO 4 doors and SS don't belong in the same sentence or on the same car!

Though it is supposed to be the sister ship to my favorite, the 63, I have always disliked the looks of the 64; even think that the 64 F--d was a much better looking car.

HEY, I have one of those mid 90's bathtubs!!! It's my work beater and it might look odd but AT LEAST IT'S A V8 with REAR WHEEL DRIVE!! They didn't call it an Impala either,it's a Caprice don't ya know? All kidding aside that car is like driving your sofa down the road, very quiet and comfortable. :clap

I like most of the years mentioned, some better than others.
But I too, think the 64 chevrolet is "FUGLY"
I also would take a 65, 66, or 67 over the 64 any day of the week.
in fact I would even consider a 67 Big Block car over my 62 Belair as well.
or 1965 425HP 396 impala.
