Its cool but the owner should have taken the $40k and took the next flight out of the country. When I was at Mecum Kansas City back in 2016 or so there was a 1963 Impala conv 409 car. No telling if it was original or not (probably not) and under the car was rusted away. Sold for $125,000. I had to restrain the owner of my work place to NOT BID ON THAT CAR! We can't sell rusted out cars! Thank god he didn't buy it. I've always been shocked how many people will buy a car without ever looking under it. Either way, the 61' is neat but where is the crazy value going to come from above what it has already bid up to? We will likely see the car end up at the next auction and next and next....
