Where is a good place to find original air conditioning parts for a 1961 impala? I especially need an original compressor? Are these parts dated? How rare is air conditioning on a 1961 impala sport coupe?

I never checked the '61 Factory AC Compressor that I had, but did see a Date Code on a '62 Cool Pack Compressor that I had.

Not sure about the national average, but in my opinion AC in a '61 was probably less than 10%.

I think it would be closer to 15-20 percent, depending on what part of the country it was solD in.My dad had a 1961 Parkwood [Bel Air] with a 170 hp 283,glide ,p/s ,and factory a/c.They werent that uncommon in N.Alabama.
