I still havent bought a trunk lid yet. I am just about to send a guy $1,100 for a 4 door 65 impala w/283 auto. It's a daily driver. Very little rust and none on the trunk lid. The big question I have is, will this trunk from the 4 door fit my convertible? It doesnt have a post between the doors, so I think this makes it 4door coupe, not sedan.. right? I've been told that all 65 4 door impala trunk lids will fit right on to a conv. but others say the the 4 door coupe and 4 door sedan (post and non post) cars have different size trunks. Can anyone varify this? The guy I'm buying it from has 3 65 impalas. 1 conv, 1 4 door post car and 1 4 door non post car. He took the trunk lid from the 4 door with posts and is using it on his convertible. I'm buying the other 4 door without posts.
