Does anyone know if the 65 factory 4-speed shifters used a mounting plate between them and the trans, or did they just bolt directly to the tailhousing? I think that the 64s bolted to the trans and the 65-7s had a plate but I'm not sure.
Was the plate used to move the location of the stick when it came through the floor? Is it totally necessary in a 65? I am helping a friend and we just want things to work correctly. Thanks for any help!!
