..and so it begins. I received my first 102mm throttle body and I have my injector plate designed to cut out on the mill out of 1.25" plate. I am thinking of using LS7 style shorty injectors with a megasquirt for the EFI. These throttle bodies are pretty big and it is looking like 2 will fit pretty nicely on there. I was thinking that I would link them together solid but a progressive setup may be more appropriate.

That is a pretty beefy blower plate.

..I love technology. I was able to 3d print the adapter in 2 sections for a fit check. It turned out good and highlighted some issues with my bolt spacing onto the blower. I corrected them in the model and I am going to print one more before trying to get the real thing done. I also think I am going to turn the TBs 90 degrees so I can get them to act together progressively. I couldn't have done this with the TBs in series without some fancy linkage/spring.

I was able to print out another mockup with the carbs 90 degrees and I think I like it this way better. I also had a regular BBC crank pulley here and I figured I would make a filler plate to attach the blower pulley to. The snout was just an inch shy so I machined out a spacer and that got things in alignment. It is kinda exciting to see that big honking belt on there! Now I need to get an idler setup built/fitted and the carb plate machined out.

Starting to look serious!

Its been a minute but some progress has been made i just hadn't had the time to post about it. I was able to make an idler pulley, a standoff and I started mocking up a front accessory plate out of particle board. I am planning on integrating the blower idler adjustment into it. I took the leap in getting a u-assemble megasquirt-II ECU and got it put together as well. It passed bench test and should be ready to get applied to the engine when i get to that point. I also drew up valve cover flanges to start fabbing up come covers. About a minute on the plasma table and I have a bottom flange and top to the covers out of 1/8" aluminum. I will post some build pics, hopefully I can get a good start this weekend on them.

So it has been a while since I have posted progress. I was able to get a Milltronics VMC recently and after spending some time doing some soldering on the motherboard it was up and running. This little a fire under me to get my blower injection plate cut out. Here are some pics of it in progress and then sitting on the blower with the throttle bodies. Next will be getting the rails to accept the backside of the injectors. I also want to hide the wires as much as possible too.

The fuel rails have had the pockets milled in them to accept the injectors. Here are a couple shots of it attached and mocked up. I am trying to decide whether I want to do a short run of AN hose up front to connect them or build a little manifold with o-rings.
