409 Emblems

I have been asked to do a custom 409 wallet. I am not familiar with various
409 emblems. Can somebody make a recommendation for me? F.W.I.W. the wallet or money clip that I make will be tooled and painted - a collector sort of piece so your help would be appreciated. Many thanks and God Bless, Rob

409 Emblem

Rob,here's a photo of my 409 Emblem on the front fender of my 57 Chevy.

Each Year has a bit different emblem with the 409 above or below the flags.
It would make a difference as to who would buy them as to what year they own.

dq,your right I have 62 flags with 409 on top instead of the bottom like the 62 should be I would like to get 409 flags and 409 from a 64 I like them,but I can't find any

I have completed the custom wallet. I used Jim's. Thanks Jim. I made two
as I gave the customer choice of 2 colors. I dropped the other on ebay. If you
want to look at it, put Zata in to the ebay browser. Thanks again, I'd like to
do others as well.

Does anyone know what the '61 409 emblem looked like? Was it the same as the '62?

Rob: 61 409s didn't have a "409" emblem although you may sometimes see '61s with the 62 emblem placed there by uninformed owners.

Rob; The '61 SS emblem, such as the one on the trunk, really doesn't indicate if the engine was a 348 or a 409. It could have been either. A '61 SS was available with both engines, and only those two, but you can't tell by looking at the emblems. The '61 409 didn't even have a sticker or decal on the engine. I can't think of any '61 409 emblem on the engine or car body.

Beach Boys

I completed a wallet and a money clip. Dunno if I'm posting the pictures correctly. First one is the Beach Boys 409 ( '62 Emblem with " She's Real Fine My " inscription. This one is a wallet. Second is a money clip with '61 SS emblem. I'm going to drop these on ebay in the next day or so.
