409 mini-starter question...

Need some help on mini-starters for the 409. Whats the best mini-starter to go with? Do I have
staggered or straight block bolt on? Anybody buying from ebay, DB Electric on ebay? I want to get the correct starter for the block. I never got the starter with the engine, so I would like a lighter, hopefully stronger one to install. Please, if you can, provide a part number or link on ebay to find the correct one.
My block is in the shop or I could check it quick. Any help?

there are several here who use the DB starters on their 409's, I use one on my 66 427 as well. Good little starter. Do a search and you'll find a few threads on DB Electric.

I bought one off the internet site from DB Electrical. Great service, arrived in three days and cranks my 348 over better than the previous old starter. Good price too. My two cents for what it is worth

I'm running a DB mini on my 4422. Spins it like the plugs were missing.. Never a hot start issue either.. Love it.. And it is half the money of anybody else.
