59 Impala Sport Coupe Front Parking/Turn Signal Lens Color

Hi Folks,
My 59 has amber front turn signal lenses.
A Classic Car guy at a gas station the other day said "Oh.. you changed the lenses to amber".
I said "No.. but maybe the guy before me did".
So now I'm not sure if it came that way from the factory or if they were changed.
After searching it appears you can get Repros for them in amber or white.
What do you think came with the car from the factory?
This is a California car with the 1 piece bumpers.
Did the LA built cars have other differences?

Just pondering... mostly.

Thanks for the reply.
I was kinda hoping the LA built cars were "Special" in that respect.
Now I'll be on the lookout for a pair of NOS clear lenses.

I’m certain the LA plant didn’t build special amber lense 60-61 cars but they built the early1961 Impala 409 that Gurney took to England to go “saloon” racing

1963 had white lenses and amber bulbs, 1962 had white lenses and white bulbs. Don’t recall amber lenses until maybe the 70’s?
