You can use any carbs when you're making up a car plus they didn't have a 390 until 1961 so nothing original about this

When did Furd give up on the 352? About 64?? Did not know 390's came out as early as 61 either.

The352's were run thru 67-68 in trucks,and was a popular choice in the 65-66 cars.Ford didn't offer a 4 speed until 62 I think.

Rochesters on an Edelbrock intake. I have an Edelbrock 6X2 intake with rochesters for a MEL engine.

Don's on the money,the 360 replaced the 352 in the trucks in 68 but I don't know if it was at the beginning of the model year or mid year.The T-10 became available assembly line installed in 62 but was available as a dealer installed option in mid 61,it showed up at the dealer with a T-10 and the floor shift and column shift delete parts in the trunk just like when you ordered the 6V package.A 61 ordered with the 6V and 4 spd. literally showed up with a trunk full of parts,and they had a big trunk.
