61 4 door SS

Check out this link. It's a road test for a 1961 4 door with 348.

Is this an SS? That badge on the trunk lid looks like it might be. ?!? Could this be one of those 4 door SS cars?

It's a little hard to see, but it looks like a 348 emblem to me. Altho the way I understand it is, in '61 only, an SS could also be a dealer add on option, which included 4-Drs.

Not sure, but...

I'm not as good as others with a keen eye, but I tried to spot the "grab bar" on that one interior shot and didn't see it clearly. That is the correct front and rear badging for the 348, and I recall those as not being SS specific. Plus the wheels covers are Impala, not SS (no spinners).

4dr ss '61s

Yes, there were 4dr SSs in 1961. I have a rare dealer brouchure for 1961 Super Sports and the car pictured is a four-door. I guess they were ahead of there time with all the 4dr cars of late

61 SS

On a 61 Impala SS there would be a Impala jumping over
the SS. I took the pic and blew it up and there is no Impala.
So its not a SS. MarkVI

That's diffently NOT an SS. That's a 348 emblem on the rear.
