The radio (factory am) in my 62 Impala has the letters CHEVY embossed on the push buttons. Is this correct for a 62 and if not what was the original application?

Please don't hold me to this, but I do believe my mothers '62 Impala had a non pushbutton radio that was a tube version. You could get the transistorized one that came with the push buttons which was optional. Presently in my '62, I have the push button version which is transistorized, Carmine.

Phil, 61' radio also has the CHEVY on the push buttons and is not transistorized like 62.

Thanks for posting that Dan. I was SURE that mama's 61 had the letters on the buttons originally but Phil's post made me wonder. For who am I to question PHIL-CHECK ?

Phil: That was your ONE allowed mistake this year. Don't let it happen again. :poke :D
