I'm going to look at a 62 50th anniversary gold Impala that's for sale near me and was just wondering how rare (if at all) is the anniversary gold edition? Was it a special edition or just a color option? Did the interior also have to be gold too or could it be any color? Anything special about these cars?

i don't think there was anything special about the 62 anniverary gold cars, paint code 927. i also think you weren't stuck with one color on the interior. now if it was a 63 anniverary gold car code 927, that one is special and it came with black interior only.
