62 factory Tach red line or not

Hey can somebody tell me if a 62 tach had a red line or was 63 the first year for the red line on the tachs

thanks man i've found a guy with one new in the box with all wireing but he says they did not have a red line in 62 i thought he was wrong but i didn't even know they made a tach without a redline

Show-Cars sells the different faces for the Sun tachs.

The 1962 SB tach has a 5000 redline while the 409 has a 6000 redline and the 1961 does not have a redline. All tachs are 7000 as seen in the link here. http://www.williamsons.com/Tachometers.php

o k does it matter how the tach is mounted to the steering column i've seen 2 styles of cups i need one for a 62 w/ 409

The '62 assembly manual has a page with the tach installation instructions including the EXACT location and size for drilling the holes in the steering column collar for the cup mounting. Leo
