That's where most the earliest crew cabs originated, RR's kind of drove their development most of the early Ford and Mopar crew cabs I've seen were also ex RR trucks, is this truck a 3 door? Most of the RR rigs I've seen were, kind of like the early Suburbans.

I remember hearing them called "chugger motors" because of how they sounded. Careful pulling spark plugs- they point straight up and its easy for debris to fall into the cylinder with the plugs out.
The factory mufflers were straight thru. My 478 V-6 had dual straight thru's from the factory. Sure sounded sweet.

You are right about the Plugs. I would always carefully clean around them before changing. Air pressure is ideal.
