62 Impala color

the paint code for my 62 Impala shows being a tuxedo black, has anybody seen this color on an impala? if so how good the color looks compared to a new black paint code?

My 64 Impala came tuxedo black. It is repainted with modern black/clear coat. It looks,,,black, more shine than the original lacquer.

Them's fighting words to anyone who knows how to spray Lacquer. (Every car I have painted was lacquer) For most modern blacks its more of an ease of use and not as harmful to sprayer and the environment than what its made of. I had the paint shop find my ALMOND FAWN (Goldish Brown) for my 64' Wagon so I could start painting small stuff and it looks nothing like the original faded paint. Find a black you like and go with it.

I've had several chevys in the old days with lacquer paint, to my untrained eyes modern paint looks deeper with much shinier look to it.
