beautiful job, I had a 64 back in the 80s I put a sbc in. I wish I still had it today. we know its going to go like a bat out of hell, but is that ity bity master cylinder going to stop it????

Yes it did get a little "floaty' once above 110.Those 695x14 bias ply tires might have had something to do with that.

Isn't that from the years the Chevy II small block had a front sump oil pan?

Kinda be nice to see the build details.

Yes,from 64 thru 67,Chevy 2's all had front sump pans. The build details can be found in the Factory assembly manuals.

I remember back when I was racing mine the talk was on hard launches would all the oil go to the back of the oil pan which would starve the pump.

I would love to hear the build details on this car. I appears they fit the engine in their with minmal modification to the shock towers. I wonder what kind of exhaust manifolds or headers were used? Very clean none the less.

March 1966 Hot Rod had a story about a late friend of mine,Richard Johnson of Fiasco Automotive in North Hollywood put a 396 in a 64 Nova. Car originally was a 283 4 speed with factory air. When Fiasco got done with it, it was a 396,4 speed, and the A/C was properly installed and worked. Richard was a genius.
