Most people at a car event don't know a 348 from a 409. I own a 1960 impala with a 348
and am always asked "is that a 409".

If you are still needing to have the generator restored, contact John Pirkle 706-855-1177 Both he and his father (now deceased) are very well known in the corvette circles for their work. I has spoke to him about restoring mine and he went into great detail to explain exactly what they do what gets replaced (almost everything except about 4 parts) he can even rewind and epoxy coat the armature if needed. I want to say that the turnaround time was pretty short given what all was being done.
