63 Impala

[ZR 900]

I just bought a 63 Impala with a 409 in it. It says 380hp on the valve cover. It does have a four speed. It needs a full restoration. How do I tell if this car came with a 409? 4 speed? Is it an SS? Car is solid but needs pretty much everything. Is there a good site to decode the tags. I can get the v.i.n. if that would help. The car is 300 miles away at a restoration shop so the tags will take some time to get. Thanks
