64 Olds RE swap?

I am told by some old racers that a same year Olds/Pont. RE will bolt into a 64 Chev. I have a few out back in 59-64 Pontiacs and a '64 High compression Small Olds Starfire 'Vert (complete crap otherwise, car is broken in half ) and a rather stout Chevy engine . I HATE trying to get broken axle studs out of a carrier in car! True bolt in? If not how?

I have the Hollander manual open here and the whole rear won't swap in. I checked Chevy and 59-64 only fits Chevy & Delivery.

The Olds rears for 64 are mentioning only fitting other Olds cars. It seems they are year specific too.

As for swapping the internals, I don't know on that.

Hollander would not apply in this situation as it is a completely different RE w the larger 5" B/O/P/ Late PU 5 bolt pattern. Only racers would be on to this and old school ones at that. Todays hot setup is a 9" or Dana. But I do have Any of those nor can afford to pay for the brackets fabbed on one right now and I am more of a nostalgia guy anyway.
