Air Cleaner Script

I've been cleaning up the engine compartment on my Super Sport. The air cleaner is solid but the paint is off in some places and there is surface rust. My opinion is it needs to be stripped and painted. My question is how is the yellow graphic restored/replaced. The original appears to be silk screened. I've seen decals but they are obviously decals. Has anyone done this in the past?

Can you just tape it off and work around it.
Have someone airbrush around it.

It appears that has been done once already. There is a ridge in the paint across the top pf the writing.

Show Cars used to have a decal transfer that you put on after painting. See if they still offer that.

They have them, a friend just bought one for a 2-4 unpainted air cleaner.
