I have a '61 bubbletop with a modified 348 , 700R4 trans , alum.radiator. Thinking seriously about installing A/C....have had a couple people recommend installing a smaller diameter water pump pulley to keep the engine a little cooler during slow speed / traffic conditions. Car now has a 2 groove pulley 7" dia.
Any truth to ths? Worth doing? What size / make pulley could I use? Thanks!

Thank you! Found couple 2 groove pulleys about 6" dia. but no one lists the height ( oal )
My present 2 groove pulley is 7" dia but 2-7/8 long. Might you have a part # or sizes for the 5.0 pulley?

It's a junk yard item for me. Should be a Spectre or Cal Custom type of thing at the auto supermarkets.

Thank you! I'm having a 'ell of a time locating a 6-1/4 " pulley from a 302 ford engine. The after market sources can't give me a depth or O.A.L. My ptesent pulley is 7" dia. and 3" depth /O.A.L. Any suggestions for finding a chrome or aluminum pulley 6-1/4" dia. . and 3" O.A.L. ? Thanks for the help!!
