Another win for the '61!

We won the Super Stock class at the AHRR race at MoKan Dragway today. Beat a '62 Ford in the final! I had the car dialed on 8.91 all day. The '62 ran 10.08 and 10.06 but I couldn't drive two cars, for obvious reasons! Best of all, it was the first time my dad got to be in the winner's circle photo.

Was it the blue with a white top 62 galaxie 2-door post that was at great bend? It was pretty cool for a F*%# product. Oh man, did I say that out loud?

Yeah, we had it there but the track wouldn't honor my IHRA competition license. Dan Kaiser, one to the tech guys, told me to go ahead and make one full pass Saturday night then I would have to make sure I stayed at 10.00 or slower the rest of the weekend. I attempted one pass but I'm pretty sure the track was covered in ice. At least it felt like ice! Thanks, guys!
