This box of "W" parts is being auctioned at a local estate sale next week. Can anyone ID any thing for a 409 here?

I think it is an online sale.

Can't really tell, Mick.:dunno The valve covers, which is obvious. Maybe the crank and the 1 cyl. head, could be 348/409 stuff. Timing cover and exhaust manifolds don't look to be. Years ago, it would all be sent to the scrap yard.:doh

I am watching this auction also, Don't know if I will be able to get by to preview before auction starts on the 4th. Looks like a bunch of Junk , but may have a few hidden treasures. Was hoping no one saw this so it would be a $20 deal:doh

Opps!!

Thought that sale was going to go under the radar.:brow

I don't know where it is but if you want it, I'll stay home... I really don't need any more junk.. :bow

Did you ever finish your car?

Not yet , Family deaths and my own health problems set things back. And now this economy is sucking me dry. I'm getting close to firing the motor, then on to interior and sheet metal work. so at this pace maybe another 10 years :doh. Thought this would all be done a year or so ago. I'll probabally bid on the box of stuff but only to 100 bucks or so , if I don't get a chance to verify what is actually there.

Kind of hard to see.....there appears to be a truck water pump and intake....could be either 348 or 409.

you can see a truck water pump form a 60 series truck, 348 crank, one set of truck valve covers, a 348 truck manifold which weighs more, looks related to a 50 and 60 series trucks.:coffee:

I see a 63 409 valve cover and probably the mate. 09 had the loom next to the bow tie. The others are car 348 not truck. The wire looms are at the ends. Trucks in the middle. 348 cam from a power brake car. I can see the bracket for the hose. There's a mkVI timing cover too. Almost looks like a q-jet intake, the hidden orange one. Look how big the secondary hole is.:coffee:

Well the auction has ended, and the box of "stuff" brought $200 bucks. Never did get a chance to check it out first hand to look for buried treasure. Did this go to any member here?

Jack Gibbs for 409 Performance was sniffing around there. Don't know if he bid or not... I was going over there to check it out but realized I already own enough junk.. And with the Injun' Casino just down the road, I figured it was be too expensive. :)
