Yesterday I was talking to a friend I've known for 3 or 4 years who retired from Chevrolet assembly plant. He and I were talking about old chevies and he said he worked on 348 and 409. He said he was asigned to follow a high performance car down the assembly line to make sure that the non standard parts were put on. He then fired it up for the first time and drove it to the delivery yard. He said you know you could hardly keep from spinning the tires on those 409's with the 2 4 barrels. Roy
