The convertible in the photo has indeed been fitted with bucket seats and is believed to be a show special. This car was shown at the Chicago Auto show in February 61. That steering wheel looks smaller diameter, deeper dished with odd center piece than factory line. I realize its a non factory show car but wonder how close some of these ideas discussed almost made it to '62 model.Here's another photo of the convertible with bucket seats, which look the same as those that went into production in 62. The trim pattern wasn't used ever again - thank God, it's horrible.. It has a weird center console that appears to be just decoration, and must still be column shift. The door arm rests are full length and look like they're out of a Buick or something.
