Cheap(er) Shipping Options

I don't know if this is widely known but for some larger items less than 100 pounds, Greyhound will ship cargo/freight. I know this doesn't help with engine blocks, but it should help with doors/fenders/heads, etc.

For example, a quote from the DHL web site for shipping a door shell at 60 pounds is $120.

An online quote from Greyhound is $65. Not as cheap as finding a part locally but a better option.

Hope this helps someone out, espcecially if they're looking for '59 El Camino door ;)

Yes, I agree. I've shipped many large items with them. The only downside is the buyer has to pick up the item at the bus station but I haven't heard any one complain that bought from me.

Since I've written off UPS a while back, I only ship USPS and Greyhound for large stuff.
