One of the Mad Max cars used in the movie is with Larry Carrell's Mustang and Mustang Twister collection in Lewistown, Mt. The local car club met there for a BBQ in July.
His son, Wes, has one of the largest model collections in the world (I was told) of high performance race cars (top fuel dragsters, funny cars, stock cars) displayed on the walls surrounding the Mustangs. There was a large box of unopened ones recently delivered on the floor. And, yes, I forgot my camera.
