Today was a fun day! Mocked up the 348 stroker motor (409 THE HARD WAY:D) Jeff (Murphdog) washed and cleaned the block, installed cam bearings and degreed the comp hydraulic roller in. It was dead on!!! Then we installed the crank, rod and piston. Also put lighter springs on to check piston valve clearance. Found its needs cut .050 in intake valve area and widen radio's around valve .050 too. This will alow to be
Plenty of clearance. Exhaust valve is good... now pistons can be cut to finish balancing. Here's a few pics. I love this!!!!20220402_113207.jpg20220402_130015.jpg20220402_133123.jpg20220402_134056.jpg20220402_151525.jpg20220402_151616.jpg20220402_152348.jpg20220402_152722.jpg20220402_151749.jpg

That 348 block was part of a bunch of W stuff I picked up in KC. It needed one sleeve as I recall. I think I gave $50 bucks for it. Has the ArmaSteel caps. Glad that I could infect Tooth with the venerable "W" and now look what he's accomplished with his two impending builds :).

409 shop truck short block assembled. Needs oil Pan and timing chain cover installed and painted. I wanted to paint the balancer first. Didn't need much heavy metal to get balancing dialed in. Went together super smooth. Oil pump, rod are ready too. 20220423_111748.jpg20220423_074719.jpg20220423_160019.jpg
