Cleaning the Z-11 intake and valley tray?

What is the best way to clean the aluminum without destroying the original finish?

Vapor blasting. Won't remove material. No residual left from blast media. Doesn't alter factory casting look. Looks brand new.

What media is used? I would think any media would cause dulling of the surface finish. What about dry ice blasting?

Vapor blasting is dry ice. It leaves a satin type finish

Okay thanks. When I looked up vapor blasting on the internet it said high pressure water with a media of sand, glass or aluminum oxide. That’s why I asked about media used. But dry ice is just that …dry ice with no media (?)

Thanks. I found a local dry ice blaster but he he is mobile with a $1000 minimum. He doesn’t blast at his shop but may make an exception. I sent him pics of what I want cleaned and waiting for a response.

As James said soda works as well for same results. I'm sure someone you know has sandblaster he'd put baking soda into for you
