Clutch Z bar and linkage

First off Happy New Year to all!!!!

The resto paint chart is blank for the clutch linkage color.

What would be the correct factory color for those parts?

Natural steel? Gray?

I believe that its natural steel but I could be wrong. There may have been a light gray phosphate coating originally. I refinished mine with exhaust manifold dressing paste. I bought it from the Paddock and its a great product! Its called calyx (spelling?). Its also available from eastwood. Its gives a natural looking finish that looks correct for that type of part. I bet you could also use something like the spray gray from eastwood or maybe the cast blast, for a little darker tone. Good luck!
